The Origin

Hi De Ho Comics is the oldest comic store in Los Angeles and opened on the cosmically important 7/7/77.

Being the first comic store in Los Angeles. Marvel paid to build our shelves! How cool is that? And when the store opened – bags and boards didn’t even exist – our founders had to create them!

For all these years we have stayed close to our roots and Hi De Ho Comics is part of the Santa Monica community. From helping guest lectures at the Santa Monica Public Library to writing op-ed pieces for the Santa Monica Daily Press, we love being a part of Santa Monica and we are always looking for ways to give back to our community.
